Happy Thirteen Monthsary!!

It’s not fun having UTI again. For the second time. Is it me or something is provoking my uterus? Big chance someone is voodooing me so that I won’t be able to have sex for some time. This is not funny. I’m currently having my finals and I can’t control my bladder. The medication prescribed has side effects, I took only one of it and I woke up after one hour power nap with severe headache. The other one is Monurol, very expensive indeed, it just make me pee for the next few hours constantly. No, I am not taking them the night before my finals at 8 in the morning. I did not drink a drop of water since last night because of the 2 freaking hours East Asian Civilization paper, I was worried shit I would visit the toilet more frequent than I check my answers. Damn, I didn’t even managed to write at least 500 words for the essay part. My right arm is aching. I hate writing. Why can’t we just type and hand in the paper to our examiner? We can adjust font type and colour according to our liking, plus, spelling check is available.
Anyways, I did not win the Kenny G tics to watch him live in Genting tonight playing that horny sexy saxophone. Instead of having Jogoya tonight, we’re heading to Shogun in 1U. Who wants to join me?
4 more days and I’ll be having my holiday for an entire month. I need a job, one entire month during the day time. I need $$$ to pay for my Phuket and Mataking holiday. Who wanna hire me? I’m very responsible and dedicated upon lucrative pay. Seriously, no joke.
Today was a great long day. I felt belonged for once.
BUT ended like crap.
I felt like a shit. UNWORTHY.
Yes, I know I’m bad.
So updates updates:
I do not know why am I always the sucker. Whenever there’s group assignment, I would end up doing the entire thing on my own. It happens everytime unless I 100% trust my group mate to contribute their parts(which happens rarely). Perfectionist. It is so disappointing to see people wasting their time and effort yet not producing any good or acceptable work.
I did not sleep last night for God sake and I’ve gotta work tonight and tomorrow. I’m short of cash and owe mum tonnes of cash. Bleks
Mum said bungalow in Port Dickson is confirmed. Yay.. I am going to Freedom Fest 2008 to party with Tiesto in Admiral Marina Port Dickson. Who’s going?
Mei Mei is locked up in the vet since Monday. Finally, I managed to bring her to neuter, for her own good. Accordingly after neutering, they are not as horny as ever. Sad isn’t it? But it is the best for all. She can have random sex and yet not get pregnant. If only… She’ll be back tomorrow. I missed her presence and I’ve not visit her for 3 days now. Wonder what’s on her mind???
Kenny, the emcee-who-resembles-Hiro-Nakamura found my blog and drop me an e-mail thanking me. So happy la me.
He did his homework, very good!
I had 4 rounds of McD this week. Thanks to that voucher with free burgers I cannot resist. Plus, we got 2 free Sausage McMuffin coupons from DriveThru. So tempting la!!!
I think I’ve got some meat here and there but I’ve just checked my weight, no I did not gained any but my boobs shrunk again!
I need a new haircut or hairdo. It’s so heavy already. Wanna dye and straighten my hair as well.
So many things to do, so little time I have.
I wanna have babies. I wanna get pregnant, motherhood. Mum gonna kill me reading this.

I must admit that nothing can beat Genting Jazz Festival for now. Let me just say, I never had that tremendous amount of satisfaction the entire weekend for a long time. That long hold over the phone was so worth it. A weekend with my precious and jazz music, what more could I ask for?

Day 1 (4th April 2008)
Act 1: jUnKoFuNc (Malaysia)

We reached the Genting International Showroom about 7.45pm, late but I was glad I missed most of the part, jUnKoFuNc should really buffed up. I think that the songs they play are rather hard to understand, rhythm and lyrics wise. I’m not proud of the Malaysian team.
Rating : 2/5
Act 2 : Ben’s Belinga Quartet (Cameroon)

Definitely best act of the day. That sexy saxophonist Ben Belinga didn’t fail to capture my immense attention with his band and that whole hour, it was ultimately orgasm. The Afro-Caribbean band was fresh and somehow very sexy. Each member of the band was surprisingly talented and unique. I love how joyful the drummer was, he looked so high with his big smile carved on his face the whole time. I am looking forward to watch them perform again. Hopefully next year.
Rating : 4.5/5
Act 3 : Diamond Dave and The Doodaddies (Australia)

Disappointed. It doesn’t sound any jazz at all. The country blues was bad. The first song was great then when it came to the third song, I could see many left the hall. This act got me really sleepy and I was dying to leave the hall but boyfriend said we should stay till the end. I had to force myself awake listening to the bad selection of songs. They should have not placed this particular group in the middle of the night, it was horrendous. Perhaps, some may enjoy them but I doubt so.
Rating : 1.5/5
Act 4 : Hamilton De Holanda (Brazil)

Blame the third act, I dozed off towards the end of the show. They were fine but I could not stay awake to listen to them, all I could remember was good melodies which led me to 30 mins of short nap. Amazing mandolin player. However, I noticed that they do not gained any audience attention, I guess most of them were pissed by that third act. Even the emcee was half drunk when the forth act came around.
Rating : 3/5
Act 5 : Salsa Celtica (Scotland)
[sorry no pic, camera battery died]
I was pretty awake after that 30 mins of power nap. This band surprised us with a rather unconventional entrance, sadly not many was left in the hall. It was 1.30am, I stood up and dance a lil, really lil. It was weird but everyone was standing on their feet to move a lil here and there. There were at least 7 couples dancing salsa on the stage, glad to see some of them were having fun. I thought I could stayed up till the end of the act but my eyes couldn’t take it anymore due to heavy puffy eyes (I cried earlier before I reached Genting, don’t ask!), called it a day and had supper before adjourned back to our room for a good night love making rest.
Rating : 3.5/5
Day 2 (5th April 2008)
Act 1 : Key Elements (Singapore)

Impressive cappella group. Although we were about fifteen mins late, I was glad we managed to catch most of the part. I misjudged Singaporeans, I had preconceived notion that it is going to be just another boring act, surprisingly I was wrong. They brought many familiar songs and tunes. They clearly won the best unexpected song when they sang their version of Spiderman. The entire hall started laughing with joy and cheered. Amazing choreography.
Rating : 4/5
Act 2 : Tangora (France, Trinidad)

She’s definitely the best vocalist the entire festival. Although I couldn’t understand her songs most of the time, her voice is sensational. The six-piece band was her strength, however, I am not keen of the sound of organ. There’s this dude who managed to play 4 different instruments at one time. He’s a keeper plus I love his red top. Mario Canonge was smoking hot. He’s like the more mature version of John Legend. Smoking hot pianist. Love love love his encore piece and humble heart.
Rating : 4/5
Act 3 : Neanders Jazz Band (Denmark)

Superb sextet. They have compilation of all variety music plus a sexy double-bas player. This is the type of jazz I fancy, the good old traditional jazz inspired by big names like Loius Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Kid Ory and etc. Great energy and stage presence with songs that could relate to all of us. This band brought me back to my fond memories. With the clarinet, trombon, trumpet, guitar, double-bas and drums, I couldn’t get enough of them. It was surely great time with this particular band, they were the crowd favourite for sure. I want more of them. Their encore song serenade the entire audience with his impersonation of Loius Armstrong “Wonderful World” was marvelous. Audience was on their feet clapping when they left the stage. Plus I bought their CD! So, can you imagine how great they are!!!
Rating : Perfect 10/5
During break, Genting promoted one of their running event ‘Dreamz‘, dazzling illusions not to be missed. The two illusionists brought a white tiger up the stage. Huge and dominant. Camwhore as well.

Act 4 : Schalk Joubert and The Three Continents Sextet (Sweden, Norway, Australia, Spain, Africa)

After the amazing Neanders, I was expecting something greater. I am not disappointed. Mixture of European harmony and Africa rhythm, one word, amusing. The three hot female blowers- trumpets, saxophonist and trombone and the female pianist were not to be missed. How often do you see a female blowing such instruments with great rhyme? Karen Mowday, the saxophonist is so hawt the videographer couldn’t stop recording her and all we see from the projected screen was her the entire time. Oh… she so sexy blowing that thang. She’s my number one hottest musician in Genting International Jazz Festival 2008. It was great blend with mix of many flavours. Love the compositions of each piece played entire time.
Rating : 3.5+1(for the Karen Mowday)/5
Act 5 : TIGHTEN UP! Jazz Jamaica with special guest MYRNA HAGUE (UK, Jamaica)

Very reggae and original. Love their inspired piece from Chelsea theme song, though they played my favourite football team all time, it wasn’t as good as the Chelsea piece. Even they dress better than the other bands. Young and good looking musicians. I did not stay long enough to enjoy the rest of the show because I was way sleepy after 1am. Overall, they powerfully performed each piece uniquely and individually with a great closure towards the end each time. I did walked out of Genting International Showroom grooving with their music playing.
Rating : 4/5

Overall : Although it wasn’t easy getting an island seat, we found great seats both nights. Smoking was allowed so he was happy, Coffee Bean had their stalls opened just outside the hall, food was available but a bit pricey, servers was friendly and helpful, emcee who resembles Hiro Nakamura from Heroes did a great job in between the breaks, splendid lucky draw prizes(though I didn’t win any KennyG tics, good effort). I love the overall experience of Genting International Jazz Festival 2008.

I would surely be back again next year. Plus bring my mum along!
Today marked the first anniversary of late Max death. Although I have moved on with Mei Mei, my feelings and love for Max has never changed.
You will always be my guardian angel!
Love, Jie Jie

Mum came back home with new clothes for all three of us. It is definitely a hole in her purse but it was all worth it. I love my mum. Not because I got tonnes of new top but the fact that she knows that she doesn’t need to spend RM600 on clothes because we have enough and yet she says, “I buy because everything is on SALE!”
Mother’s love is unconditional and unmeasurable. My mum especially!!!
Lately, everyone has been bitching about each other. Fights, dramas, explanations, shits. Blame the weather!
